Get Involved: It Takes a Block!

The Arthur Ave Block Party is entirely organized, funded, and run by our incredible neighbors. If you’re looking to pitch in and make this year’s event the best one yet, here are the easiest ways to get involved:

Volunteer for a 30-Minute Shift

We need a handful of volunteers to make sure the day runs smoothly so everyone gets a chance to relax. Please consider signing up for a quick 30-minute shift to help with:

• 11:00 AM: Street barricade set-up and table arrangement

• 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Supervising the Bounce House and Waterslide

• 3:00 PM: Running the Kid's Donut Eating Contest & Cake Walk

• 9:00 PM: JB's Pizza order

• 10:00 PM: Clean-up crew and breaking down tables

The 5:00 PM Grill Out & Potluck

At 5:00 PM, we’re firing up the communal grills! Bring your own items to throw on the grill and a side dish to share with the neighborhood.

• Grill Masters Needed: Have a smoker or grill you want to show off? We are coordinating grill space and side dishes. Add your signature dish to our potluck sign-up sheet!

Activities & Entertainment

Last year, we had neighbors step up to provide the "Wheel Time" bike decorating station, book the live music, and organize the face painting. If you have a specific game, activity, or connection, let us know! We are always looking for fresh ideas to add to the schedule.

Funding the Fun

The quickest way to get involved is to chip in! We rely entirely on community donations to cover the cost of the waterslide, kids' games, and late-night pizza. 👉  HERE
